Drive In Rack
Maximum-density block storage — the forklift drives into the lane so pallets can be stored several deep, ideal for large SKU quantities and cold-chain operations.
Drive In Rack
Drive-In Pallet Racking is a high-density storage system where the forklift enters the rack itself, placing pallets on continuous rails deep into each lane. It's the most space-efficient racking type for warehouses that hold large quantities of a small number of SKUs — including cold storage, food, beverage and seasonal stock.
- Highest storage density of any static pallet racking system.
- Ideal for large SKU quantities with low SKU variety.
- Cold-storage rated configurations available.
- Robust upright and rail construction handles heavy pallet loads.
- LIFO rotation with single-entry configuration; FIFO with drive-through configuration.

Maximising Space Efficiency
Drive-In Racking removes the aisles between every rack row — the forklift uses the storage lanes themselves as its access path. For SKUs that hold in high pallet quantities, that can double or triple density versus selective racking in the same footprint.
Understanding Drive-In Racking
Pallets rest on horizontal rails inside deep storage lanes. In drive-in configuration, the lane has a single entry point and pallets rotate LIFO. In drive-through configuration, the lane is open at both ends and rotates FIFO — the choice depends on your SKU rotation strategy.
Advantages of Drive-In Pallet Racking
Bulk Warehouses
High-volume single-SKU storage.
Cold Storage
Freezer and chill rooms where every cubic metre is expensive.
Distribution Buffer
Inbound consolidation before pick and dispatch.
Manufacturing
Finished goods holding areas at line-end.
Food & Beverage
Large stock holdings of packaged products.
Seasonal Stock
Long-hold, low-turnover inventory in a compact footprint.
Key Features of Drive-In Racking
Maximum Density
Storage lanes multiple pallets deep with no wasted aisle space.
Heavy-Duty Rails
Continuous rails engineered for repeated forklift entry and pallet loads.
LIFO or FIFO Config
Drive-in for LIFO, drive-through for FIFO.
Cold-Chain Ready
Coatings and configurations rated for chill and freezer environments.
High-Volume Handling
Ideal for large-quantity, low-variety SKU profiles.
Structural Safety
Engineered upright protection and load documentation on every project.

Types of Drive-In Racking Systems
Single-Entry Drive-In
Loaded and unloaded from the same face, LIFO rotation.
Drive-Through
Open at both ends for FIFO rotation.
Cold-Store Drive-In
Coatings and clearances tuned for freezer and chill rooms.
Extra-Heavy-Duty
For pallet loads above standard capacity, with reinforced rails.
Seismic-Zone Config
Additional bracing and anchoring for high-seismic sites.
Guided-Lane Config
Floor-mounted guide rails to reduce forklift and upright contact.
